We live in a society where people put value on beauty. We often get caught up with what others think, or feel pressured to conform and then when you don't fit that mold its hard for women's self esteem Or even worse some start believing the negative things they say about themselves. I want this blog to help you break-free from any negative views of self and reclaim your own unique beauty.
Tip #1 - Positive Self-Talk
You know that old saying, "think positive"? Well it's true. I know that's easier said then done, but the change has to start with what your saying to self. One way you can change those thoughts is to start reading positive affirmations. Consider posting in places where you will see them daily. The more we read and hear positive the easier it will be to start claiming them as truth for yourself.
Tip #2 - Self-Care / Taking Time For Self
Too often we can pour ourselves out tending to others, that we end up neglecting our own needs. Finding that balance is crucial to your health and peace within. There is nothing wrong with taking time for self. Do something that makes you happy or is relaxing. By doing so you can restore your own inner-balance and feel better about self.
Examples of Self-Care:
- Enjoying a Hot Bath
- Get outside and Enjoy some sunshine
- Simply take a nap if you need to
- Enjoy a personal Hobby
Tip #3 - Invest in Yourself
Don't be afraid to break out of your shell and invest in yourself because you are worth it! A change can do wonders for the way we see ourselves. Consider learning a new skill, which can be empowering. Your never to old to learn new things. Knowledge is something that can never be taken from you. You are worth it!
Tip #4 - Try out a New Look for yourself.
Sometimes just a simple change in hairstyle or hair color can give you the boost of confidence that's been missing from your life.
